- Become a member of Friends of the Eagan Core Greenway to help ensure the protection of the Eagan Core Greenway and other sensitive local Open Space: Call John Ward (Eagan): (651)-688-0451.
- In the Fall of 2002, Dakota County voters said "Yes" to a referendum to approve a ten-year $20 million bonding bill that is allocating funds to protect additional Open Space in the county: see the Dakota County Farmland and Natural Areas Program.
