Subject: Report on "Friends" Earth Day Event -- Saturday (April 21st)
Dear Friends of Eagan's Open Space,
The Friends of the Eagan Core Greenway Board would like to thank all of those who participated in our Earth Day Clean-up Project on Saturday morning.
Counting children, a total of 20 volunteers showed up to work on our Patrick Eagan Park trail clean-up project and collected nearly a dozen trash bags and pails full of garbage.
As a result, the park we have all come to know, love, and fight for is a much cleaner than it was before our Earth Day weekend event.
A special word of thanks goes to Kirk Emmen, who collected four bags of trash from neighboring Barbara Curry Park and the sidewalks along Wescott Road between Lexington and Glacier Hills Elementary!
We also thank Eagan City Council member Paul Bakken and Minnesota State Senator Jim Carlson for "walking the walk" by participating in the cleanup and getting their hands and clothes dirty in the process.

THANKS AGAIN for your efforts!
