Subject: Report on "Friends" Earth Day Event -- Saturday (April 22nd)

The Friends of the Eagan Core Greenway Board would like to thank all of you who showed up on Saturday morning for our Earth Day Clean-up Project.

The ten volunteers who worked on trail clean-up in Patrick Eagan Park collected no less than 16 trash can bags of garbage!

As a result, the park we have all come to know, love, and fight for is a much cleaner that it was before our Earth Day event.

A special word of thanks goes to Kirk Emmen, who collected six bags of trash from Barbara Curry Park and the sidewalks along Wescott Road between Lexington and Glacier Hills Elementary!

(more photos from John Ward to come)

We also met with the pastor of Advent United Methodist Church, just north of the Eagan Art House. He will have his own crew of volunteers cleaning up their grounds next weekend. He expressed an interest in teaming up with us next year to work on cleaning up both properties on Earth Day.

THANK YOU for your efforts!
