Dear Friends of Patrick Eagan Park,
Given that some of our "Embrace Open Space" signs were only placed in their assigned locations in the past ten days, we will plan on leaving up the signs at least through mid-June (i.e., June 15th).
We wish to thank FOPEP member, David Brunet for his recent work with the Caponi Art Park. Together, FOPEP and the Art Park jointly submitted a grant application to the Kodak American Greenway Awards Program (www.conservationfund.org). The proposal requests assistance in order to continue to spread the word about the significance of the Eagan Core Greenway to local residents, especially those in close proximity to the corridor. Keep your fingers crossed that the application succeeds!
We also wish to thank FOPEP member, Mark Chaudhary, for hosting our FOPEP Web site free-of-charge for the last three quarters. He did so from his residence just a couple of blocks from Patrick Eagan Park. Due to his recent move, we have had to transfer our host server. Our FOPEP Web site is now hosted by www.LivingDot.com .
One final and important announcement. The Eagan Core Greenway can use all of the support we can muster. One way to provide assistance is to support one of its key components---the Caponi Art Park. Below is the summer 2003 schedule of events for the Art Park. Most of these events are free (workshops excepted) and are wonderful ways of spending a portion of a mid-summer's day with family and friends. If you haven't yet been to the Art Park's theater in the woods, you owe it to yourself to attend one of these activities. You'll be delighted you did.
